The 12th summit of the Africa Peer Review Mechanism(APRM) officialy opens in Addis Ababa
The 12th summit of the Africa Peer Review Mechanism (APRM) forum has officially opened to review progress member countries have made on an array of issues meant to stir national development in their respective countries.

President Rupiah Banda who arrived yesterday was among 10 Heads of State and Government officials that attended the summit in Addis Ababa.
Officially opening the summit Ethiopian Prime Minister Meles Zenawi who is also the Chairperson of the APRM said the forum had made a lot of progress towards realizing its goals.
Mr. Zenawi said many countries that ascended to the APRM had successfully managed to implement their national plans adding that this move had stirred development in those countries.
And President Rupiah Banda will today join 51 Heads of State and Government officials at the official opening of the 14th Ordinary Session of the AU at the UN building.
Mr. Banda is expected as chairperson of the Great Lakes Region, to report to the summit on the progress made so far from the time he took over chairmanship.
