FUNDS raised through the payment of rates by property owners should only go towards the provision of services and should not be allowed by law to be used for any other purpose, Union Gold Group of companies chairperson Mark O'Donnell has proposed.
But Works and Supply Minister Mike Mulongoti urged Mr O'Donnell and the business community to engage members of Parliament (MPs) to take such proposals to Parliament through the private members' motion bill that would be supported. Divorce lawyers claim the explosion in the popularity of websites such as Facebook and Bebo is tempting to people to cheat on their partners. Suspicious spouses have also used the websites to find evidence of flirting and even affairs which have led to divorce.
